Benjamin Marchant, MPA, CM
President
Benjamin’s experience with transformational leadership in municipal organizations spans over 20 years. His well-traveled career contributes to his wealth of diverse perspectives and informs his broad and diplomatic approach for developing solutions tailored to the needs and values of each community he serves. His holistic approach in all areas of complex organization leadership and management distinguishes his accomplishments in strategic planning, implementation, fiscal administration, organizational culture optimization, project management and relationship development for stakeholders, intergovernmental relations, public-private partnerships and community outreach. His fluency in Spanish and French, learned while living abroad, adds perspective and value to his experience with outreach to populations whose native language is not English.
Herb Durfee III
Herb brings over 35 years of governmental experience to the team. A Burlington, Vermont native, he holds degrees in Economics and Geography from the University of Vermont, and he has held several positions that afford him a wealth of knowledge concerning local, regional, state, and private sector operations and management. His background includes town management, planning, community development, economic development, housing construction including affordable housing, regional project collaboration with chambers of commerce and development corporations, and even some elected and appointed positions (e.g., school board, technical academy school board, and statewide enhanced 9-1-1 board).
Project specific, Herb has a background in capital budgeting, grant administration, labor relations, government and legislative affairs, policies and procedures, small business revolving loan fund administration, governmental transparency and public participation programs, special projects important to a community, and all aspects of planning and zoning.
